Even now and then someone is going to have an accident where they spill something on your carpet flooring. Some food and beverages are a lot easier to clean than others, and usually the hard ones are because of their consistency or color. When it comes to carpet cleaning, Arpieka residents know all too well that red wine is one of the hardest substances to remove from a carpet. Depending on the color and type of carpet you have in your home, red wine can severely stain carpet fibers if you do not act quickly enough, or you do not use the proper technique.
Soaking up and Dabbing the Stain
One of the most important things to remember about removing stains from carpet is the technique in which you remove the substance. With carpet cleaning, Aripeka residents should not rub in the stain in order to try to get rid of it, but rather soak up as much of the excess liquid as you can. Once you have gotten most of the stain up, it is important to dab the remaining red wine from letting it soak deeper into your carpet fibers. The faster you are able to pick up the standing liquid, the better chance you have at salvaging your carpet.
Use Baking Soda instead of Detergent
It is a natural habit to grab soap or detergent to clean something that is dirty. Although this is not bad for cleaning your body, this is not always the best ways to clean wine stains when performing carpet cleaning. Aripeka residents should try and use some baking soda that they would have in their cupboard because this substance helps absorb excess moisture from your carpet, drawing out any red wine that you might have missed while trying to soak and dab the stain out.
